People and roles

This page shows who holds authority over your organization and who leads the groups inside it. It is where access is kept in view and where changes to it are made.

Two roles carry organization authority, owner and admin. Both can open this page and see the full roster. Owners can also change it. An owner can make a group's leader into an admin, remove an admin from the organization, or transfer ownership to an admin and become an admin in turn. An admin sees the same list and reads it as it stands. Role changes are the owner's to make.

Below the authority list, each group in the organization appears with its current leaders. This part is for seeing, not for managing. A group's leadership is set inside that group's own settings, never here. Gathered in one place, it lets you know who is carrying each group without leaving the organization view.

Access to a whole organization is not something to hold loosely. So the page keeps authority narrow, lets the owner make the changes, and lets everyone with organization authority see plainly what is true.
