The weekly letter
Announcements and notices
Some weeks carry a word or two for the whole group. A change in direction, a time that moved, something that just came up. This is where you share it. You write a short headline and the note, and it joins the week at once. It shows in the live issue right away, and it folds into the letter when the newsletter goes out. There is no separate channel to keep. It travels with everything else members already read.
A note can carry more or less weight, and that is yours to set. Marking a note as important draws the eye in the newsletter, for the word you would not want anyone to miss. Separately, you choose whether the note should pop up when members next arrive. The pop-up is on by default, so a timely notice can reach them without waiting for the letter to send.
Not everything needs to interrupt. When a note is a quiet word rather than something that needs the doorway, you can turn the pop-up off. It stays in the letter and on the board, it simply stops standing in front of members. And when a note has done its work, you can take it down and it drops off the current week cleanly.
These are two different choices. Important changes how the note is emphasized in the letter. The pop-up changes whether it interrupts a member's next visit. You can use either, both, or neither. You decide what a thing needs, because you are the one who knows whether it can wait.
