The photo gallery

The gallery is where your group's photos live. It holds the pictures, the faces and the ordinary moments that words in a letter can never quite carry.

You add the photos and your members see them. Adding is a leader's task. A member opens the gallery and browses what the group has gathered, newest first, and reads whatever captions you have written. Every photo can carry a caption and a short description for anyone using a screen reader, so no one is left out of the picture. Photos can be PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF, and each one stays under 5 MB.

The gallery and the weekly letter know one another. A photo kept here can be added to the newsletter from Publish, and you can bring photos with your notes when the letter is read, so a flyer becomes its event and a picture lands beside the thing it belongs to. One picture can rest in the archive and still arrive in the week's letter. When you remove a photo it leaves this page quietly. A letter already published is not rewritten just because the gallery changes.

Photos brought to a reading pass a quiet safety check first. In the rare case a photo should not appear in a letter at all, it is set aside here in the gallery and the letter tells you so. You can review it on this page and decide for yourself. Nothing leaves the gallery without you seeing why.

The photos are held privately and shown only to the people who belong, never to the wider world. That is the whole idea. A place to keep what the group looks like, kept for the group alone.
