Your public page

Your public page is the first thing a newcomer meets, before they know a single name. It lives at your group's web address and, when open to the public, anyone can see it without signing in. This is the front step, the place where someone standing outside decides to come closer.

You shape the page in its editor. A short welcome, where and when you gather, a way to get in touch, and a door to the current newsletter. You choose the look, add a logo and a header photo, and write sections of your own for whatever a visitor should know before they arrive. A live preview shows the page as your visitors will see it. You also decide how open it is, whether it is listed and discoverable, shared by link only, or kept to members. The meeting address can stay members-only while the time remains public, so you can be welcoming without printing your door for everyone.

A printable flyer carries the same invitation onto paper. It shows your group's name and a large code that a neighbor can scan to join and begin receiving the weekly newsletter. Print them for the people or homes you want to reach and hand them around. The code only opens the door while join-by-link is turned on, so you can run a flyer campaign and then close it again when the season is over.

The public page is the welcome you offer to people who have not yet arrived. It is not the Foyer, which is the room members step into once they belong, and it is not the newsletter, which is written on its own page. Keep this one honest and plain, open to whoever happens to be looking.
