The Desk

The Threshold Desk is the helper that sits beside Help on your leader pages. Ask it how anything here works and it answers from these help pages, points you to the right place, and gives you its honest read when you want one. It is automated, and it says so when you first meet it.

What it can see. The Desk sees how your group is set up, which sections are on, whether the look is customized, how many letters have gone out and when, how many invitations are still waiting, and your upcoming calendar events by title and date. When you name one event to fix, it reads that one event's wording. It also reads these help pages. That is the whole list.

What it cannot see. It cannot see names, contact details, or the roster. It cannot see care, and it never will. It cannot see prayer requests, member messages, photos, or anything your members have written, beyond the one calendar event you name for a correction. It knows nothing about any other group.

What it can change. Three small things, and only when you tell it to. It can set your regular meeting time and place. It can turn on a section that is off and empty. It can fix a small slip in one calendar event's wording, when you name it. It says what it is about to change before it changes it, shows you what happened after, and each change is marked on the page as made with the Desk at your direction. It never guesses a value, and a rewrite dressed as a correction is refused.

What it prepares but never does. Revealing a section that already holds items, writing your first letter, and bringing people in are yours. The Desk gets the pieces ready and hands you to the page where you do it. It reports how many items a reveal would show, it carries your own welcome words to the Newsletter page without writing any of them, and it walks you to the add-members page without ever touching an address. It never publishes, never sends, and never changes who is in the group.

What is kept. The conversation is not stored. When you leave the page, it is gone, and the Desk remembers nothing of it next time. Each change you direct leaves a record of what changed and when, made at your direction, with wording recorded as lengths rather than words. A simple count of questions is kept so the Desk stays available. Nothing you type trains any AI model.
