Maintenance

Every community takes on work to keep its shared spaces in good order. Maintenance is where you keep sight of that work, from a small repair to the season's larger project.

Each item is one thing that needs doing. You give it a short title, mark where it stands, whether it is still pending, scheduled for a date, underway, or cancelled, and note where on the property it belongs. You can name the vendor or the person carrying it out, add any details worth keeping, and record what the work is expected to cost and what it finally did. Costs are entered in plain dollars and held for the leaders alone.

By default an item stays with your leadership team. When a piece of work is something the whole group should know about, you can mark it visible to members and it joins their view. The costs never travel with it. Members see the work and how it is going, never the money behind it.

The tracker holds all of this in one quiet list, newest first. Some of it is worth telling the group and much of it is not, and both are right. What matters is that the work is written down, so what needed mending in spring is still accounted for when the season turns.
